A how-to for this book.
This book is an exploration in Distributed Design.
This book is the second in a series of four books, which are set to explore through annual publication, the advance of the Distributed Design Platform. This year, the book serves as an entry point into The State of the Art, collecting opinions, thoughts, case studies and research from the Distributed Design Platform including the annual events including the DD Summer School and DD Awards.
The contents of this book was created collaboratively by the people and organisations that appear in its pages. We used the distributed technology of Gitbook to put it together and in this way, its development become another case study to explore how distributed technologies can aid traditional publishing and content creation.
You can read it any way you like, but we suggest to explore the pages using the glossary to feed your knowledge and the values to guide your understanding of our subject's far-reaching impact. This is how we, the collective of authors, editors and advisors, have worked throughout the experience of producing a Distributed Design book, in a distributed manner.
