# Combining

In Food Tech 3.0, combining refers to supporting the creation of collaborations and synergies between initiatives. (Make sure to read the [Context: FoodSHIFT2030](/foodtech3.0/food-tech-3.0-aceleration-program/context-foodshift2030.md) section so you can understand what things like "Accelerator Labs," "Innovators," and "FoodSHIFT2030" is).

We aimed to support synergies between innovators and:

* Fellow Food Tech 3.0 innovators by encouraging innovators to understand how they might support one another through the use of their products/processes or through intentional collaborations on new or adapted products/processes
* The Food Tech 3.0 advisory board by introducing the advisory board to the Food Tech 3.0 innovators over the course of the program and highlighting opportunities where they might support one another
* New local communities that were and weren’t already connected to the local food ecosystem by educating innovators on potential target communities during the Food Tech 3.0 program and following the program through a series of innovator-based workshops
* Innovators in new territories by connecting the innovators to the rest of the FoodSHIFT2030 network and the Fab Labs and Fab City ecosystem, conducted mainly following the end of the acceleration program

The combining phase is still underway and will be further documented following the completion of local innovator workshops, which will also be shared in this GitBook.
